Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of AutoBudget, including our website, application, APIs, and related services. By creating an account, linking a financial account, or using AutoBudget, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use AutoBudget.

What AutoBudget does

AutoBudget provides budgeting, bill tracking, debt visibility, goals, alerts, calendar, and related household-money organization tools. AutoBudget is not a bank, broker, lender, credit counselor, tax adviser, legal adviser, or investment adviser.

Information shown in AutoBudget is for planning and organizational purposes only. You are responsible for verifying amounts, due dates, account data, and financial decisions with your financial institutions and qualified professionals.

Eligibility and accounts

• You must be able to form a binding contract and be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
• You may not use another person's account or connect accounts you are not authorized to access.

Financial account linking

If account linking is available and you choose to use it, AutoBudget uses Plaid and other service providers to connect to financial institutions. You authorize AutoBudget and its service providers to access, process, and store permissioned account information for the purpose of providing AutoBudget features.

AutoBudget does not control third-party financial institutions or Plaid. Their services, terms, privacy policies, availability, and data accuracy are their responsibility.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to AutoBudget.
• Do not upload malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities, or bypass security or rate limits.
• Do not use AutoBudget for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, infringing, or harmful activity.
• Do not submit information you do not have the right to provide.

User content and data

You retain ownership of budgeting data and content you provide. You grant AutoBudget a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and use that content solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the service, and to comply with legal obligations.

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and quality of the information you enter or connect to AutoBudget.

Paid features

If AutoBudget offers paid features, pricing, billing terms, renewal terms, cancellation options, and refund rules will be presented before purchase. Taxes may apply where required by law.

Service changes and availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We work to keep AutoBudget reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that all data from third-party sources will be complete, current, or accurate.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

AutoBudget is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AutoBudget will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or financial losses resulting from use of or inability to use the service.

Termination

You may stop using AutoBudget at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, misuse the service, or if continued service is no longer practical or lawful. Some provisions survive termination where their nature requires it.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as AutoBudget changes. The effective date above shows when they were last updated. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable in-product, website, or email notice where required.
